A little walkthrough of the Tutor Explorer, every menu, badge, and button, so you always know where to click.

Getting Started

When you log in as a tutor, you're taken straight to your dashboard, which opens on the Overview page by default.

The screen is split into three areas, the Sidebar on the left holds your main menu; the Toolbar across the top gives you navigation, search, and your profile, and the Content Area in the middle is where each page you choose actually loads. A thin status bar along the very bottom confirms your connection and mode.

The Toolbar

Navigation buttons- Back and Forward move through pages you've already viewed in this session, just like a web browser. Refresh reloads the current page if something looks off.

Address bar - always shows the name of the page you're on, so you have constant confirmation of where you are.

Search box - searches for text within the page you're currently viewing, not across the whole site. Type a word and press Enter; matches are highlighted in yellow and the page scrolls to the first result.

To clear a search, just delete the text from the search box, highlights disappear automatically.

Notification Badges

Several menu items show a small red badge with a number, a quick signal that something needs your attention. These update automatically every few seconds, no manual refresh needed.

Mobile Use

On a phone or tablet, the sidebar is hidden by default to save space. Tap the round menu button in the bottom-right corner of the screen to open or close it.

Troubleshooting

A page won't load or shows an error

Click Refresh in the toolbar, or use the retry button on the failed page.

You're redirected to the homepage unexpectedly

Your session has likely expired, or you're not logged in with tutor/admin access. Log in again.

Badges aren't updating

They refresh every few seconds automatically. If a number still looks wrong after a minute, refresh the page.

Search isn't finding anything

The search box only searches the page currently open in the content area. Make sure you're on the right page first.
